[Effect and Application of Yojyo Henshiko]

[Aim]
“Henshiko (Pien Tze Huang)” has been recognized as a famous Chinese medicine
for the liver diseases. But there are some problems of the efficacy to the
HCV patients and The Washington Treaty for the rear animals. The “Yojyo Henshiko”
is developed to clear these problems and its efficacy for the hepatitis. In
the present study, we examined the effect of the prescription on patients with
liver diseases.
[Method]
For the hepatitis patients who could not get any improvement of a liver
function even going to the hospital and had some treatment, we gave suitable
an sufficient instruction directly by the person who is in charge of this matter.
And by the free will of the patients and on the condition of continuing to
go to hospital to have examinations, the prescription was given after each
meal three times a day. In addition, liver function inspection was carried
out in the hospital where they go, according to the conventional medical treatment,
and examination was added on the basis of the inspection results offered by
their intentions.
[Results]
Serum levels of ALT(GPT) and AST(GOT) in the four patients treated were markedly
lowered after treatment with the prescription for 10 days. Comparing the Serum
levels with their pre-administrated values, the AST(GOT) levels were decreased to
76% and the ALT(GPT) levels were to 33% in the mean values of the four patients.
[Conclusion]
These results substantiate clearly the effect of “Yojyo Henshiko” in lowering
the enhanced serum levels of ALT(GPT) and AST(GOT) in the patients with hepatic diseases.
